About the Job As a Junior NPI Engineer, you will provide technical support, guidance, and evaluation for new product and process development programs. This role involves working with printed circuit board assemblies (PCBA) and Surface Mount Technology (SMT) equipment within an electronic manufacturing environment.The candidate will also support system assembly activities. Our ideal Junior NPI Engineer is highly collaborative and able to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, business partners, and production lines.Responsibilities Provide technical guidance and assessment for PCBA, SMT equipment, and mechanical assembly processesPrepare engineering documentation for production and support prototype buildsServe as the primary interface with customers on engineering-related issuesEvaluate manufacturing processes, influence cost efficiency, and provide recommendations (DFM/DFX)Design and procure tooling and fixtures for assembly processes during the prototype stageLead product transfer activities across global manufacturing sitesParticipate in advanced technology development initiativesQualifications Education :Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related fieldMaster's degree or MBA in Engineering or related field is a plusExperience :Minimum of 1-2 years of engineering experienceExperience in electronic manufacturing is preferredPreferred Skills :Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilitiesSolid understanding of manufacturing processesProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)Knowledge of Agile methodologies is a plusFamiliarity with Valor DFM is preferredUnderstanding of NPI processesIPC certification or training preferredExperience with AutoCAD or SolidWorksJob Status: Full-time, ExemptBase Hourly Range: $27–$30/hourFoxconn Assembly, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
