Position description
The Department of Physics at the University of California Santa Barbara invites applications for a pool of qualified Junior Specialists to conduct research in all our disciplines including Astrophysics and Cosmology Condensed Matter Theory and High Energy Theory. Screening of applicants is ongoing and will continue as needed. The number of positions varies depending on the needs of the department. Positions may range from part-time to 100 time. Positions may also be for 1 year or less than 1 year. Appointees at this level enable research as part of a team.

Qualifications
Basic qualifications required at time of application Bachelors degree in Physics or closely related field or be enrolled in a Bachelors program at the time of application.
Additional qualifications required at time of start A Bachelors degree is required in the following fields of Physics Physics Astrophysics and Cosmology Condensed Matter Theory or High Energy Theory by the time of appointment.
Preferred qualifications At least 2 years of previous research experience in Physics or closely related field.
