As a Structural Engineer, you will be designing the structural systems that support data center infrastructure. No 3rd party recruiting agencies, please.Daily Functions:Design and evaluate structural components such as modular assemblies, enclosures, equipment frames and support structures that are used in data center infrastructure projectsDetermine feasibility and optimize solutions for long term structural integrityWork with Unistrut systems, including member and fitting selection, evaluate materials, fabrication methods and connection designsPerform structural calculations such as load capacity, seismic requirements, vibration, thermal considerations, etc.Support engineering efforts from prototype builds, through on-site installationRequired Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering (may consider Civil or Mechanical with applicable experience)2-5 years of structural design experienceStrong understanding of structural fundamentals and member sizingDetail-oriented with a practical, problem-solving mindsetAbility to work collaboratively and with cross-disciplinary engineering teamsBased in or willing to relocate to the Dayton, Ohio areaThis position will focus on structural member designs initially with progressive growth into larger more complex projects.
