Overview

Client is seeking a motivated junior Systems Test Analyst to join an Advanced Engineering team. This role will support platform requirements analysis, test workflow evaluation, test automation using Python and Robot Framework, and Power BI dashboard development for automotive software platform testing.

Core Responsibilities

  • Analyze automotive software platform requirements, workflows, and system capabilities to identify automation and process improvement opportunities.
  • Review current test procedures and scheduling limitations, and recommend solutions using Robot Framework and Python.
  • Work with software engineers and system architects to understand user requirements and translate them into structured automated test cases.
  • Evaluate and document defects, system anomalies, and workflow gaps found during testing.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to support timely defect and issue resolution.
  • Assess test coverage, system reliability, and execution efficiency, and propose improvements based on findings.
  • Participate in design reviews for test automation solutions.
  • Contribute to standardized test automation best practices across the platform team.
  • Analyze and interpret test execution data from automotive software platform runs.
  • Design and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards for test results, pass/fail metrics, and platform quality KPIs.
  • Present data-driven findings and system analysis recommendations to engineering teams and management.
  • Evaluate patterns and anomalies in platform data to identify system quality risks and recommend corrective actions.
  • Define data models and metrics frameworks to support ongoing platform systems analysis and continuous quality improvement.

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies

  • Master's degree in Information Technology Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Basic working knowledge of Python programming.
  • Familiarity with data manipulation using pandas or similar libraries.
  • Exposure to Power BI or comparable data visualization tools such as Tableau or Grafana.
  • Awareness of test automation concepts.
  • Foundational understanding of software workflows and testing principles, including unit, integration, and regression testing.
  • Ability to analyze platform data, test results, defects, anomalies, and workflow gaps.
  • Ability to summarize findings for mixed technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Skills or Experience

  • Hands-on experience with Robot Framework or pytest.
  • Exposure to automotive software, embedded Linux, or connected vehicle systems.
  • Basic familiarity with Git.
  • Awareness of CI/CD concepts.
  • Coursework or project experience in statistical modeling, data analysis pipelines, or anomaly detection.
  • Awareness of automotive or safety standards such as ISO 26262 or ASPICE.
  • Experience in an Agile/Scrum team setting, including internships or academic group projects.
