Junior Talent Specialist
Location: Lake Success, NY
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 9:00 AM-6:00 PM; Friday, 9:00 AM-4:00 PM (year-round) FULL TIME ONSITE
Salary: $50,000-$55,000 annually, depending on experience
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Talent Specialist to join our growing team in Lake Success, NY. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career recruiting professional who is looking to develop their talent acquisition and human resources expertise. The Junior Talent Specialist will support the recruitment process from sourcing and screening candidates through interview coordination and onboarding activities.
Responsibilities
Support full-cycle recruitment efforts for a variety of positions
Source candidates through job boards, social media, referrals, and other recruiting channels
Screen resumes and conduct initial candidate phone interviews
Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers
Maintain accurate candidate records within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
Assist with offer preparation, onboarding, and pre-employment activities
Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs
Communicate professionally with candidates throughout the hiring process to ensure a positive candidate experience
Generate recruitment reports and track hiring activity as needed
Partner with internal teams to understand hiring needs and support workforce planning initiatives
Attend job fairs, networking events, and other recruiting activities when required
Qualifications
Associate degree preferred; Bachelor's degree is a plus but NOT required
Internship, co-op, or professional experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, human resources, or a related field
Experience working with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and/or Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
Eagerness to learn and grow within the talent acquisition field
Preferred Skills
Experience sourcing candidates through LinkedIn, job boards, or social media platforms
Exposure to interview scheduling and candidate management
Knowledge of recruitment best practices and employment processes
Strong customer service mindset and ability to build relationships with candidates and hiring managers
Pay Details: $50,000.00 to $55,000.00 per year
