PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Army ROTC Instructor shall assist with the instruction of students in the Army Junior ROTC Program.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Assists in the management of the JROTC program effectively according to law, regulations, policies, and principals
Actively recruits students to join JROTC; maintain enrollment at or above 150 cadets or a minimum of 10% of school enrollment
Achieves desired learning goals by teaching prescribed JROTC subjects listed in the Program of Instruction
Maintains proficiency in military subjects taught
Modifies and improves given instructions by remaining continuously alert to new and alternative instructional methods and motivational techniques
Maintain arms and supply facilities in strict compliance with Army security regulations
Complies to the letter with Army and school district safety guidelines in all instances when instructing, supervising, monitoring, accompanying or escorting cadets
Ensures facilities provided are adequate to support program
Coaches extracurricular teams IAW SAI guidance
Maintain a consistent professional demeanor and appearance
Ensure compliance with the Texas Educator's Code of Ethics
Daily attendance and punctuality at work are essential functions of the job
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervision and evaluation of District personnel is not a requirement of the position; however, the supervision of students is required.
