Organization Information The Grant County School District is a forward-thinking system built on a strong tradition of excellence. It is located in north-central Kentucky along the I-75 corridor, with gently rolling farmland to the south and light urban development to the north. The district offers its students the benefits of well-trained, caring staff; proven instructional methods; and safe, attractive, well-maintained facilities. The mission of Grant County Schools is to ensure success for all students by establishing high expectations and providing high-quality instruction through excellent teachers, support staff and leadership embraced by supportive parents and an engaged community. The mission is supported by core values that define our actions and methods. GCS has 4 elementary schools; an alternative learning center; a middle school; and a high school featuring a brand new career and technology center. The district is governed by an elected Board; all schools utilize Site-Based Decision Making Councils.
