Join Jamestown Salish Seasons (JSS), a new 16-bed voluntary behavioral health Evaluation & Treatment facility where you'll provide high-quality, trauma-informed, recovery-oriented care in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.
As a Mental Health Professional (MHP), you'll work alongside an interdisciplinary team to support adults experiencing acute mental health conditions and co-occurring disorders through assessment, therapy, crisis intervention, treatment planning, and discharge coordination-all while helping patients build a path toward lasting recovery.

What You'll Do
Clinical Assessment & Treatment
Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, intake evaluations, suicide risk assessments, and ongoing behavioral health assessments using evidence-based practices.
Develop, implement, monitor, and revise individualized treatment plans addressing behavioral health conditions, co-occurring disorders, crisis stabilization, and recovery goals.
Provide individual, group, and family therapy utilizing evidence-based interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), psychoeducation, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care.
Provide crisis intervention, risk assessments, de-escalation, and stabilization services.
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment interventions as clinically appropriate.
Treatment Planning & Care Coordination
Coordinate care with psychiatric providers, nursing staff, peer support specialists, recovery support staff, and the interdisciplinary treatment team.
Participate in treatment team meetings, case consultations, utilization reviews, and discharge planning.
Coordinate referrals to community behavioral health providers, substance use treatment programs, housing resources, and other support services.
Advocate for patients while supporting recovery-oriented, strengths-based care.
Therapeutic Programming
Develop and facilitate therapeutic groups and structured programming promoting emotional wellness, coping skills, relapse prevention, recovery, and successful community reintegration.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create engaging, non-institutional therapeutic activities.
Documentation & Compliance
Complete timely, accurate clinical documentation including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, safety plans, and discharge summaries.
Document patient care using the EMR, ObservSMART, and other approved systems.
Maintain documentation in compliance with organizational policies, accreditation standards, Washington State regulations, and federal requirements.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration
Build collaborative relationships with patients, families, Tribal community members, healthcare providers, and community agencies.
Serve as a behavioral health resource to team members within scope of practice.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical staffing, and interdisciplinary care planning.
Professional Development & Organizational Support
Maintain required licensure, certifications, and continuing education.
Participate in required meetings, training, emergency preparedness, and professional development.

Compliance & Quality Assurance
Ensure compliance with applicable RCW, WAC, HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and other regulations.
Maintain complete and accurate EMR documentation.
Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities.
Support audits, chart reviews, and corrective action planning.
Cultural Competence
Provide culturally responsive behavioral health services honoring Tribal values and diverse patient populations.
Collaborate with Tribal representatives and leadership to integrate culturally informed care.
Demonstrate cultural humility in all clinical interactions.
What We're Looking For
Required Education
Required Licensure
Current, unrestricted Washington State licensure as one of the following:
Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW)
Licensed Advanced Social Worker (LASW)
Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA)
Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT)
Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist Associate (LMFTA)
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of behavioral health assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and evidence-based therapeutic practices.
Knowledge of trauma-informed care, recovery-oriented systems of care, co-occurring disorders, and applicable behavioral health regulations.
Strong clinical assessment, counseling, crisis intervention, communication, organization, and documentation skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic medical record systems.
Ability to build therapeutic relationships, exercise sound clinical judgment, collaborate within an interdisciplinary team, maintain confidentiality, and work independently.
Ability to successfully pass a criminal background investigation.
Required Certifications
Current CPR and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain within three (3) months of hire.
Valid Washington State driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
Two (2) years of post-graduate clinical behavioral health experience.
Experience in inpatient psychiatric, Evaluation & Treatment (E&T), crisis stabilization, residential treatment, correctional, or other acute behavioral health settings.
Experience treating serious mental illness (SMI), co-occurring disorders, and complex behavioral health needs.
Experience conducting suicide risk assessments, crisis intervention, and safety planning.
Familiarity with ASAM Criteria and integrated treatment of co-occurring disorders.
Experience working with Tribal communities or culturally diverse populations.
American Indian/Alaska Native preference applies.
Working Conditions
Ability to work assigned schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to support 24/7 operations.
Lift, push, and carry up to 30 pounds unassisted.
Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, squat, climb, twist, and move throughout the facility.
Work in a fast-paced behavioral health environment while maintaining professionalism and composure under pressure.
