Junior Accountant

Location: Greenwich, CT
Schedule: Hybrid | Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM

Position Overview

Our client, a growing financial services organization, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join their accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career accounting professional looking to gain hands-on experience and grow within a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• 
  
• Assist with day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
• 
  
• Prepare and process journal entries and maintain accurate general ledger records
• 
  
• Assist with bank and account reconciliations
• 
  
• Support month-end and year-end close activities
• 
  
• Help prepare financial reports and supporting schedules
• 
  
• Assist with researching and resolving discrepancies
• 
  
• Maintain organized and accurate financial documentation
• 
  
• Support senior accounting staff with ad hoc projects and reporting as needed
• 
  

Qualifications

• 
  
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• 
  
• 0–2 years of accounting or finance experience; internships are a plus
• 
  
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• 
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• 
  
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
• 
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• 
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• 
  
• Eagerness to learn and grow within an accounting and finance career
