Our CPA firm client is looking to add a Junior Accountant to their growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their accounting career who wants to gain hands-on experience working with multiple clients and develop their skills within a public accounting environment.

Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Assist with day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities for multiple clients
• 
  
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
• 
  
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable
• 
  
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
• 
  
• Assist with month-end and year-end close
• 
  
• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules
• 
  
• Assist with tax preparation and other accounting projects
• 
  
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records
• 
  
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies
• 
  
• Communicate with clients to gather information and resolve questions
• 
  
• Support senior accountants and CPAs with various client projects
• 
  
• Assist with special projects and other duties as needed
• 
  

Qualifications:

• 
  
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• 
  
• 1–2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
• 
  
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
• 
  
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• 
  
• Experience with QuickBooks or other accounting software preferred
• 
  
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• 
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• 
  
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• 
  
• CPA firm or public accounting experience is a plus
• 
  
• Motivated to learn and grow within a public accounting environment
