Junior Accountant, Property Management

The UIP Companies, Inc. We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our property management team in NE Washington, DC. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their accounting career who wants hands-on experience supporting day-to-day financial operations across a real estate portfolio. In this role, you’ll work closely with the AP Manager and accounting team to help keep our records accurate, organized, and up to date.

What You’ll Do

  • Process invoices, payments, and other day-to-day accounting transactions
  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
  • Assist with tenant billing, account tracking, and reconciliations
  • Help prepare journal entries and support month-end close
  • Maintain organized financial records and documentation
  • Partner with the accounting team and property managers to resolve questions and keep information accurate

What We’re Looking For

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 0–2 years of accounting experience or relevant internship experience
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Comfort with Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Experience with property management or accounting software is a plus
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn

Role Details

Location: NE Washington, DC
Reports to: AP Manager
Compensation: $55K-$65K, based on experience
