Junior Accounting & Financial Analyst

We are seeking a motivated Accounting & Financial Analyst to join a growing finance team in a fast-paced, project-driven environment. Reporting directly to the Controller, this role will support a variety of accounting, financial analysis, project accounting, budgeting, invoicing, and accounts receivable activities. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accounting or finance professional looking to expand their analytical skills and gain exposure to multiple areas of the accounting and finance function.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining financial information and reporting for assigned projects and contracts.
• Support monthly financial reporting by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Track project-related expenses, including labor, travel, paid time off, and other direct costs.
• Review employee expense reports and reimbursement requests for accuracy and compliance.
• Assist with the creation and maintenance of purchase requests and purchase orders.
• Review and validate vendor invoices and supporting documentation.
• Support project accounting activities, including cost tracking, budget monitoring, and forecasting.
• Prepare customer invoices and assist with accounts receivable collections and cash application activities.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations and journal entries.
• Support audit requests and provide documentation as needed.
• Prepare financial analyses, reports, and Excel-based tracking tools.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiencies.
• Partner with accounting, finance, operations, and project management teams on various projects and initiatives.
