RWE Planning + Design is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Architect to join our growing team. This position is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional (0–3 years of experience) who is passionate about architecture and interested in developing toward professional licensure through hands-on project experience and mentorship.
This role offers exposure to a wide range of project types including healthcare, tenant fit-outs, remodels, additions, and ground-up construction. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, collaborate, and grow within a fast-paced design environment.
Assist the Design Lead in developing conceptual plans based on client goals, budget, and site conditions
Support initial building and zoning code reviews
Research jurisdictional requirements and permitting processes
Create sketches, renderings, and 3D models to communicate design ideas
Assist with consultant coordination and client deliverables
Support space planning efforts focused on functionality, accessibility, and workflow
Assist in developing floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details
Work in Revit to prepare and coordinate project drawings
Coordinate with engineering consultants and internal project teams
Participate in design development meetings and client coordination
Learn and apply local building codes, zoning requirements, and accessibility standards
Assist in assembling permit and construction document sets
Gain exposure to healthcare industry standards and regulatory requirements
Assist with site visits, field verification, and construction coordination
Collaborate with architects, consultants, interior designers, and contractors
Participate in client meetings and presentations
Utilize RWE software systems for project workflow, scheduling, and meeting documentation
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program
0–3 years of professional experience preferred
Proficiency in Revit required
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Desire to pursue architectural licensure and continue professional growth
Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship
