Junior Business Development/ Marketing Associate

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

- Lead Generation & Business Development

• Research prospective convenience store and fuel retail customers
• Assist in identifying new business opportunities and market expansion areas
• Maintain and organize prospect databases and Hubspot information
• Support outreach campaigns by vetting prospects, visiting locations with marketing materials, and reaching out via email, phone calls, and other touchpoints
• Assist the business development team with presentations and sales support

- Marketing & Brand Support

• Help create and organize marketing campaigns and promotional materials
• Monitor competitor branding, pricing, and promotional activity
• Assist with social media and digital marketing initiatives
• Support brand compliance and image standards at retail locations
• Meet with team members and oil brand representatives to learn their programs and best practices

- Mystery Shops & Field Operations

• Work with team members and dealers to correct mystery shops at various branded locations
• Evaluate customer service, cleanliness, merchandising, and brand compliance
• Document and submit corrections using detailed reports and photos
• Provide operational feedback to management teams
• Travel locally to sites as needed

- Commodity Market & Industry Learning

• Gain exposure to fuel pricing, supply chain operations, and commodity markets
• Learn how supply and demand impacts fuel pricing and distribution
• Monitor market trends, wholesale fuel movements, and industry news
• Assist with basic market research and reporting
• Shadow team members across sales, operations, and supply functions
