Position Information

This position is a 1.0 FTE that supports the Technology Department. The salary range for this position is $65,333 to $81,660 annually, with the starting salary determined based on relevant experience. This position is fully benefit eligible, please see attached for benefit information.

Position Summary

This position designs, builds, documents, and maintains electronic forms and automated workflows that collect, route, and report on operational data for the cooperative and its member districts. Responsibilities include translating the needs of staff and program partners into structured, well-documented, and accessible business processes, primarily within a low-code forms and workflow platforms like Laserfiche. This position also troubleshoots and improves existing forms and workflows, prepares and maintains system and process documentation, and assists in testing and staff training on new or revised processes.

Typical Class Responsibilities

  • Builds and configures electronic forms and automated workflows in a low-code platform to support human resources processes, special education and student services, safety and threat assessment, event registration, and other operational needs.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves problems with existing forms and workflows, diagnoses routing and data-capture errors, and revises processes in response to user feedback and changing requirements.
  • Writes and maintains system and process documentation for both the business and education sides of the data team, including as-built system descriptions, process diagrams, and user-facing guides.
  • Gathers requirements from staff and program stakeholders, asks clarifying questions, and converts operational needs into structured process designs.
  • Applies accessibility standards (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1AA) to newly developed forms and workflows and revises existing systems on a prioritized schedule.
  • Creates and conducts testing and user testing of new and revised processes to confirm they meet end-user requirements and accessibility standards before release.
  • Conducts rollout and training of staff on newly developed or modified processes and prepares the supporting reference materials.
  • Performs other duties of a similar nature or level as assigned.

Training and Experience Requirements

  • High School Diploma (G.E.D)
  • Two (2) years of experience in business process analysis, process documentation, technical support, or related experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience developing Laserfiche Forms and Laserfiche Workflow
  • Experience with human resources, student services, or other business processes in a school district, governmental, or non-profit setting
  • Familiarity with SQL for reading data from existing views and tables
  • Experience producing accessible documents and forms
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Shortcut or Jira

Knowledge Requirements

  • Business process analysis, mapping, and documentation principles
  • Low-code workflow and electronic forms platforms, such as Laserfiche, Microsoft Power Automate, Nintex, or comparable tools
  • Logical, conditional, and rules-based thinking sufficient to design routing and decision flows without traditional programming
  • Software, hardware, and networking principles at a working level
  • Accessibility standards for forms and web-based interfaces

Skill Requirements

  • Designing and building electronic forms and automated workflows in a low-code platform
  • Analyzing, mapping, and documenting business processes in clear, distribution-ready form
  • Evaluating, troubleshooting, and resolving form, workflow, and routing problems
  • Preparing and maintaining records, reports, and user guides, and communicating technical information to a non-technical audience
  • Communication and interpersonal skills with coworkers, supervisors, and the public to exchange information and receive work direction
  • Organizing assigned work across multiple concurrent projects
  • Following established development standards and procedures

Physical Requirements

Positions in this class typically require: use of fingers, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.

Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing are required only occasionally.
