Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures to ensure accurate tracking of inventory levels and transactions
  • Monitor inventory levels and usage patterns to ensure that inventory is maintained at optimal levels
  • Work closely with production, purchasing, and accounting departments to reconcile inventory records and identify discrepancies
  • Prepare inventory reports and analysis, including inventory turnover, stock-out rates, and obsolete inventory level
  • Perform regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods
  • Work closely with Procurement Coordinators and the Receiving Teams
  • Issue POs for approved Requisitions as needed to support Purchasing Coordinators
  • Work with vendors\suppliers on competitive quotes
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings in inventory management
  • Ensure compliance with all inventory-related regulatory requirements and standards
  • Collaborate with Storeroom Supervisor to ensure receipts and inventory accuracy.
  • Set up new storeroom items in IFS systems

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or related field-- Preferred
  • 2-3 years of experience in, purchasing, inventory management, procurement or related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with inventory management software and systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to inventory management, such as SOX, preferred.
