Junior Buyer Job Description

A parts manufacturer in Rosemead is looking for a Junior Buyer to join their team. As a Junior Buyer, you will be assisting with the purchasing department with procurement activities and order processes for all production materials. You will also support inventory control, purchase planning, and logistics.

Essential Duties:

• Order processing
• Assist Purchasing department with ordering materials and supplies
• Process and maintain PO’s based on quote and negotiated pricing in a manner that promotes stated business objectives.
• Expedite purchase orders..
• Ensures that all purchase orders have the required quality and customer requirements
• Attend and participate in production meeting when necessary, provide delivery status to ensure ship-plan goals are achieved.
• Coordinate with Quality department
• Assists the Materials group with administrative and special tasks as needed.
• Ensures quick resolution of shipping discrepancies, receiving errors, and invoice errors, and authorizes all inventory adjustments.
• Coordinates adjustments to ship dates or quantities on open purchase orders as necessary.
• Answer telephones, light filing, and process Purchase Orders for remote employees.
