Anchor QEA is a water related environmental and engineering company focusing on the protection and restoration of coastlines, the development of port and harbor infrastructure, marina improvements, and navigation related projects. Experience with coastal engineering concepts such as beneficial use of dredged material, shoreline protection, living shorelines, marsh restoration, and engineering with nature and nature based solutions are preferred. Experience with water resources concepts such as hydrology, water quality, and dam removal are also preferred, as is proficiency using CAD, GIS, and/or programming languages, such as python.ResponsibilitiesSupport engineering design projects with a focus on the coastal environmentAssist in developing data collection plans for surveying, geotechnical exploration, and environmental dataConduct analysis and numerical modeling of coastal processes such as currents, waves, storm surge, sediment transport, morphology, and wave-current-structure interaction.Perform engineering analysis, preliminary, and detail design of coastal and marine facilitiesAssist in developing plans, specifications, and construction documents on projectsPerform costs estimating on projects during the design phaseWork with sub-consultants and team members and assure quality control of work throughout project executionPeriodic construction oversight for regional projectsSupport report and technical memorandum developmentIdeal Candidates Will Have The FollowingBachelor's degree in Coastal, Civil and/or Ocean Engineering or related fieldEngineering design experience in ports, harbors, marinas, boat launch facilities, and/or coastal engineering or construction industryCoastal engineering design such as beach nourishment, marsh creation, living shorelines, breakwaters, bulkheads, dredging, and dredge material managementHarbor structure design such as jetties, offloading structures, berthing and mooring structuresCoastal resource agency coordinationDemonstrated teamwork and leadership skillsDemonstrated technical writing and presentation skillsFamiliarity with industry standard analysis and design softwareAbility to be PE licensed in Oregan within 4 years of hire.Flexibility to travel regionallyProficiency in MS OfficeAutoCAD Civil 3D experience a plusArcGIS experience a plusPython experience a plusCritical thinking and strong problem-solving skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsSalary And Other CompensationAnnual BonusOther potential bonus types: Billable Time Bonus, Spot Bonus, Milestone Anniversary Bonus, Receiving Professional License/Certification Bonus, Peer-reviewed Publication Bonus, Employee Referral Bonus.Base Level Benefits For Regular Full-Time PositionsHealthcare: Medical, dental, vision, basic life and AD&DD insurancePaid Company and Floating Holidays: 7 paid company and 2 floating holidays annuallyVacation: 2 weeks accrued paid vacation based on length of service.
