Junior Construction Estimator – Commercial Restoration
Hialeah, FL | Full-Time | Office-Based
An established Florida General Contractor with more than 30 years of experience is hiring a Junior Construction Estimator for concrete restoration, stucco, waterproofing, and commercial interior and exterior painting projects.
This opportunity is ideal for someone with education or experience in engineering, construction management, architecture, drafting, or another technical construction field. Previous estimating experience is preferred but not required. Training will be provided to someone with strong analytical and computer skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities
- Review blueprints, specifications, bid invitations, and project requirements.
- Perform quantity takeoffs for concrete, stucco, waterproofing, coatings, and related restoration work.
- Learn to quantify square footage, linear footage, cubic footage, and individual repair locations.
- Assist with calculating labor, materials, equipment, access, protection, mobilization, and disposal costs.
- Obtain and organize pricing from suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Assist with preparing bids, proposals, and supporting documentation.
- Track bid deadlines, addenda, revisions, and project information.
- Coordinate with estimators and project managers during project handoff.
- Maintain accurate and organized estimating records.
Qualifications
- Education or experience in engineering, construction management, architecture, drafting, or a related technical field preferred.
- Construction, estimating, drafting, or project coordination experience is a plus.
- Ability to read or learn to interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
- Strong mathematical, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Adobe Acrobat, or similar software is preferred.
- High-rise, commercial, or restoration experience is a plus but not required.
- Detail-oriented, dependable, and motivated to learn construction estimating.
