Description Position: Junior Developer Location: Rosslyn, VA Clearance: Secret
The Junior Developer is an entry-level role focused on supporting the design, development, and maintenance of software applications. This position involves foundational knowledge of programming languages and software development methodologies.
Major Duties and Responsibilities • Assist in developing and maintaining software applications. • Write, test, and debug code to ensure functionality and reliability. • Collaborate with senior developers to implement solutions. • Support the integration of applications with enterprise systems. • Document development processes and configurations. • Conduct basic performance testing and optimization. • Stay updated on emerging programming tools and technologies. • Provide user support and training for software applications. • Ensure compliance with organizational IT policies and standards. • Participate in team meetings and contribute to project planning.
Requirements • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. • 0-3 years of experience in software development. • Basic knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#). • Familiarity with software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, SAFe). • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. • Certifications in software development (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate) preferred. • Excellent communication and documentation abilities. • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies. • Familiarity with cloud-based development tools is a plus.
