Contract Details

About the Opportunity
Join a cloud infrastructure platform engineering team focused on automation-first delivery of scalable, secure environments. You ll help design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure using Ansible, CI/CD, and containerization, while growing your skills with Terraform and modern DevOps practices. This role emphasizes reliability, security, and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute and develop Ansible playbooks/roles for configuration, provisioning, and maintenance across cloud environments.
  • Support infrastructure deployment and maintenance with Terraform under guidance from senior engineers.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitLab), including writing and troubleshooting pipeline jobs.
  • Deploy and support containerized services using Docker and/or Kubernetes.
  • Create and maintain SOPs, KB articles, and technical documentation.
  • Apply a security-first mindset, including Linux hardening and access control.
  • Support monitoring, logging, and configuration management in a multi-tenant cloud environment.
  • Leverage generative AI tools to improve efficiency and consistency in day-to-day tasks.

Required Qualifications

  • US citizen only (no dual citizenship).
  • 3 years hands-on Ansible experience (playbook/role development; configuration management).
  • Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with CI/CD workflows and GitLab (or similar).
  • Proficient in at least one scripting language (Bash or Python).
  • Familiarity with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and foundational services.
  • Basic understanding of networking (IP routing, subnetting, DNS, TCP/IP).
  • Security-first approach, including system hardening and access controls.
  • Ability to work onsite in Austin, TX 3 days/week.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with Terraform or other IaC tools.
  • Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with secrets management (e.g., HashiCorp Vault).
  • Exposure to identity concepts such as RBAC or SSO.
  • Experience with logging and monitoring tools in cloud environments.
  • Clear, concise technical documentation and strong collaboration skills.
