We're looking for a Junior Electrical Estimator to join our team in Elkhorn, WI. This position is a great opportunity for someone currently working in the electrical trade, construction industry, or project support role who wants to develop a long-term career in estimating and project management.
You will work directly with experienced estimators and operational leaders to learn the estimating process while helping prepare bids and support projects from concept through completion.
What You'll Do
- Review electrical plans, drawings, and specifications
- Complete quantity takeoffs and material counts
- Assist with developing project estimates and proposals
- Gather pricing from suppliers and subcontractors
- Help prepare bid packages and project documentation
- Participate in project site visits and pre-bid meetings
- Support project managers during project startup and execution
- Assist with change order pricing and estimate revisions
- Maintain estimating records and pricing databases
- Learn and develop advanced estimating and project management skills
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of electrical construction or related construction experience preferred
- Electrical apprenticeship experience is a plus
- Strong computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
- Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Valid driver's license
Compensation
$22.00 - $30.00 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and electrical industry background.
Annual performance and compensation reviews based on individual performance and company results.
