Job Description
- Assist with quantity take-offs, subcontractor bidding, pricing analysis, and proposal preparation.
- Support preconstruction activities on commercial interiors, hospitality, and life science fit-out projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and clients throughout the estimating process.
- Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to develop accurate cost estimates.
- Help identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions.
- Participate in bid meetings and contribute to the successful delivery of project pursuits.
- Maintain estimating databases, historical cost information, and bid documentation.
- Support multiple projects ranging from $500K to $10M in value.
The Successful Applicant
- 2+ years of estimating experience within the construction industry.
- Experience with commercial interiors projects strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of estimating practices, take-offs, subcontractor scopes, and construction costs.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Comfortable working in a fully office-based environment, five days per week in Downtown Boston.
- Motivated professional looking to grow within a smaller, entrepreneurial organization.
