Position Title: Junior Financial Analyst
Location: Tysons Corner, VA

Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Junior Financial Analyst to support financial reporting, data analysis, budgeting activities, and business decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong Excel skills, a solid understanding of financial concepts, and the ability to organize and analyze data accurately. This role provides an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals looking to develop their corporate finance and financial analysis expertise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing financial reports, management reports, and business performance summaries.
  • Maintain and update Excel-based financial models, tracking spreadsheets, and reporting tools.
  • Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and monthly financial review processes.
  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality control checks to ensure reporting accuracy.
  • Organize and maintain financial records, supporting documentation, and audit-ready files.
  • Create charts, dashboards, and presentations to communicate financial information to management.
  • Assist with inventory tracking, asset management, and operational reporting activities.
  • Collaborate with finance, accounting, and operations teams to gather and analyze business information.
  • Support ad hoc financial analysis projects and process improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, PivotTables, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and data analysis functions.
  • Understanding of financial statements, budgeting principles, and basic financial analysis concepts.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Internship or professional experience in finance, accounting, banking, or business operations.
  • Familiarity with financial reporting and business performance metrics.
  • Experience using Power BI or other reporting and visualization tools.
  • Bloomberg Market Concepts (BMC) certification or similar financial training.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and financial statement analysis.
