Salary/Hourly Rate: $25/hr
Position Overview: Our client is seeking a Junior Graphic Designer on an ongoing contract basis to work on a hybrid model (onsite Tues & Thurs) to support the creative team on various projects and tasks. This temporary role offers the potential to transition to a permanent position. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for design, a willingness to learn, and flexibility to assist wherever needed.
Responsibilities of the Junior Graphic Designer:- Design and update name badges, tent cards, signage, and other event materials.
- Prepare artwork and files for print production.
- Make updates and revisions to existing designs.
- Assist with logos and basic branding projects.
- Research and source imagery through Shutterstock and other resources.
- Organize and manage creative files using Google Drive and Docs.
- Support senior designers with day-to-day project needs.
- Learn and follow the OFTS process and workflow (training provided).
Required Experience/Skills for the Junior Graphic Designer:- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Comfortable using Google Docs and Google Drive.
- Understanding of basic design principles.
- Some knowledge of print versus screen resolutions and preparing files for different formats.
- Positive, collaborative attitude with the ability to take direction and ask questions.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Junior Graphic Designer:- Experience in a fast-paced creative or corporate communications environment.
- Familiarity with digital asset management and file organization.
- Basic knowledge of branding and logo design principles.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
- Relevant certifications or coursework in Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
Education Requirements:- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field is preferred.
