About the Role

Westinghouse is recruiting Junior Health Physics Technicians to work at different Nuclear Power Plants within the United States. Provide Radiation Protection coverage and oversight for power-plant activities. In addition to providing job coverage, certain routine tasks may be assigned determined by individual certifications, qualifications, and skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Radiation Protection coverage and oversight as required for power-plant activities. • In addition to providing job coverage, certain routine tasks may be assigned determined by individual certifications, qualifications, and skills. • Types of tasks Jr RP Technicians may be assigned to perform or help perform include the following: · Radiation and contamination surveys · Material and equipment surveys · Material escort · Help with ALARA planning · Help with decontamination activities · Support of Site Emergency Plan

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED • Workers must train following applicable local, state, and federal OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations. • Satisfy all requirements required to obtain a Level II Nuclear Access Badge • Meet all applicable requirements to maintain unescorted access
