ABOUT THE ROLE
DOCCS is looking for a motivated Junior Healthcare Outreach and Sales Representative to help grow our patient and referral relationships throughout Melbourne and the surrounding Brevard County community.
This is an entry-level position combining in-office sales support with community outreach and relationship development. It is well suited to a college student or recent graduate who is personable, organized, self-motivated, and comfortable initiating conversations and developing new professional relationships.
The right person will represent DOCCS professionally with patients, physician offices, community organizations, local businesses, and other potential referral partners.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Represent DOCCS professionally in both office and community/field settings
• Identify and develop new referral opportunities with physicians, medical offices, community organizations, and local businesses
• Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective referral sources
• Schedule and attend meetings with prospective referral partners and community contacts
• Represent DOCCS at community health fairs, business functions, networking events, and other local outreach opportunities
• Follow up consistently with prospective patients, referral sources, and community contacts
• Distribute and coordinate marketing and promotional materials
• Maintain organized records of outreach activities, contacts, leads, meetings, and follow-ups
• Track outreach results and provide regular updates to management
• Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, office managers, businesses, and DOCCS staff
• Assist with day-to-day sales, marketing, and administrative activities as needed
• Look for new outreach opportunities and take initiative rather than waiting for assignments
QUALIFICATIONS
• College student and/or recent graduate
• Interest in healthcare, sales, marketing, business development, or community outreach
• General understanding of medical terminology, or willingness and ability to learn
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable initiating conversations and introducing DOCCS to new professional contacts
• Able to communicate professionally with physicians, medical-office staff, patients, businesses, and community organizations
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, email, and basic contact/lead-tracking systems
• Self-motivated with the ability to follow through on leads and commitments
• Professional appearance and demeanor when representing DOCCS
• Able to work effectively with different personalities and backgrounds
• "No task too big or too small" attitude
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel locally for meetings and outreach activities
• Available to work on-site in Melbourne, FL
