Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Healthcare Quality Analyst  to support a healthcare organization with high-volume data quality, validation, and quality assurance activities. This role is ideal for someone with experience working with healthcare, pharmaceutical, patient support, HUB services, reimbursement, or payer data who enjoys identifying discrepancies and ensuring information is complete and accurate.

This is not a traditional reporting or business intelligence role. The primary focus is reviewing patient-level data, validating information across records and files, identifying missing or inconsistent data, and helping ensure data is accurate before large-scale batch processing.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and validate high-volume healthcare and patient data for accuracy and completeness.
• Perform quality assurance checks on batch files prior to processing.
• Compare current patient information against historical records to identify discrepancies, missing fields, or inconsistent information.
• Review patient-level data such as identification numbers, payer/insurance information, eligibility information, and other required fields.
• Identify missing, incomplete, duplicate, or potentially inaccurate data and escalate or resolve exceptions appropriately.
• Recognize common healthcare payer and insurance information and understand how it relates to patient records.
• Perform data reconciliations and quality checks across multiple files, systems, and databases.
• Investigate exceptions and determine where information may need to be corrected or completed.
• Track recurring data issues and help identify trends or patterns impacting data quality.
• Maintain accurate documentation while working with sensitive healthcare information.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve data discrepancies and ensure records are ready for downstream processing.

Ideal Background

• Previous experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical services, patient support programs, HUB services, specialty pharmacy, reimbursement, patient access, or a similar environment strongly preferred.
• Experience reviewing patient records, payer/insurance information, eligibility data, claims, reimbursement data, or other healthcare datasets.
• Experience with data quality, quality assurance, auditing, data validation, reconciliation, or exception management.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify subtle differences or missing information across large volumes of records.
• Comfortable working in databases and navigating multiple systems.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to follow established data rules and processes while independently investigating discrepancies.
• Experience working with HIPAA-protected information is preferred.

What Makes Someone Successful in This Role?

The strongest candidate does not necessarily need advanced analytics or programming experience. We are looking for someone who can look at a patient record, understand the healthcare data in front of them, recognize when something is missing or does not make sense, and accurately determine what needs further review.

Candidates with prior experience supporting pharmaceutical HUB operations, patient assistance programs, reimbursement services, payer verification, patient access, or healthcare data quality are especially encouraged to apply.
