Junior High CTE/Elective with Coaching

Junior High Career and Technical Education (CTE) or Elective Teacher is responsible for introducing students to practical, real-world skills that bridge the gap between academic theory and future career paths. At the middle school level, these roles focus on career awareness and exploration, helping students build a foundation for specialized high school pathways.

Core Responsibilities

• Instructional Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging lessons in elective subjects such as technology, business, healthcare, agriculture, or family and consumer sciences.
• Hands-on Learning: Demonstrate and supervise the safe use of industry-standard tools and equipment (e.g., 3D printers, computer software, or laboratory materials).
• Curriculum Development: Create and implement lesson plans that align with state standards, such as the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) or similar state frameworks.
• Classroom Management: Establish and enforce safety protocols and behavior standards to maintain an environment conducive to both traditional and laboratory-style learning.
• Student Support: Assess student progress through formal and informal testing, providing feedback to guide their personal and academic growth.
