Overview:
GovCIO is currently hiring for a Junior IT Administrator to support our US Mint program. This position will be in Washington, DC and will be a hybrid remote position.
Responsibilities:

- Work in professional IT service environment, consisting of ticket, service request, knowledgebase, and asset management.
- Provides technical support for computers and associated networks. Installs, troubleshoots, services, and repairs personal computers, network equipment such as servers, modems, multiplexers, related PC software, telephones, cables, and connectors.
- Provides personal computer, hardware, and software support. Installs, services, and repairs personal computers and installs attendant software.
- Connects personal computers and terminals to existing data networks. Maintains network diagrams and circuit records. Maintains trouble logs. Instructs users in the use of personal computers and networks. Investigates information, network, and communications needs of users, and makes recommendations regarding software and hardware purchases.
- Interaacts with staff, users, and management to establish requirements for new systems or modifications.
- Installs and performs minor repairs to hardware, software, and peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications.
- Perform support for vulnerability and patching remediation for security related issues.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or 2-5 years (or commensurate experience)
Required Skills and Experience
- Experience working in a professional IT service environment, consisting of ticket, service request, knowledgebase, and asset management.
- One of the following certifications prior to onboarding: A+, Net+, or Sec+
- One of: HDI-CSR, Microsoft 365: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or ITIL 4+ Foundation Certification within 3 months of onboarding
Clearance Required: Must be able to attain and maintain an active US Mint Public Trust
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Associate degree or greater in relevant field - Preferred.
