Scion Legal Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Junior Litigation Attorney on behalf of an innovative plaintiff-side employment law firm. The firm offers a technology-driven, team-oriented environment where attorneys can develop their litigation skills while contributing to high-quality client outcomes.

This position is fully remote and available to candidates located anywhere in California.

Key Responsibilities

  • Appear on behalf of attorneys at court hearings, case management conferences, arbitration proceedings, and depositions throughout California.
  • Prepare for hearings and appearances by reviewing case files and communicating outcomes to the responsible attorney.
  • Review pleadings, complaints, discovery requests and responses, meet and confer correspondence, and other litigation documents for accuracy, completeness, and strategic considerations.
  • Assist with legal research, drafting, and revising motions, including discovery-related motions.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and legal support staff to ensure efficient case progression.
  • Utilize legal technology and AI-powered tools to prioritize work, manage deadlines, and support a high-volume litigation practice.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active California Bar admission and good standing.
  • 1-3 years civil litigation experience; employment law experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable handling court appearances, arbitration proceedings, and depositions.
  • Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and issue-spotting skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and sound professional judgment.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote work environment.
  • Comfortable utilizing technology and AI-assisted legal tools to improve efficiency.

Compensation & Benefits
