Position Overview:
Cumulus Media | Houston has an immediate opening for a part-time Sales Associate for our Houston station cluster. The position is designed to give one a sense of what tasks, expectations, and benefits there are to being part of the sales team in Houston. The ideal candidate will be dependable, hardworking and can balance multiple deadline-oriented projects while maintaining a great attitude and sense of humor in a fast-paced work environment. Key Responsibilities & Qualifications:
Some Responsibilities:
- Primary role is to learn the business of selling both digital and radio media to see if this is a career fit through both computer and hands-on training.
- Assigned a set group of Account Executives that will help you learn and do tasks involved in the sales process. Can include but not be limited to: gathering research, assisting in creating proposals, meeting with prospects and clients, and helping to place the orders in the system
- Assists and backs up Account Executives with orders and traffic as needed
- Prepares and assembles reports and presentations
- Provide support to clients by providing documents, forms and other paperwork to ensure seamless execution of client media buys
- Works on highly time sensitive projects, adhering to deadlines
- Manages multiple project requests simultaneously with quick turnaround time
- Additional duties as designated by the Director of Sales, RVP/Market Manager related to sales or administrative functions, or designated by the Company
Qualifications:
- College Degree or 1-2 years or relevant experience
- Self-starter that is detail oriented, organized, and must be excellent at written and oral communication and possess strong multitasking skills
- Dependable with a strong work ethic and possess a team player attitude
- Aptitude to make decisions and work independently without immediate direction or supervision
- Ability to interact with management and staff at all levels
- Competitive Pay - Hourly up to 29 hours per week
- Focused, responsible and collaborative work environment with the ability, to ask “what if” and try innovative solutions
Pay Range:
USD $17.00 - USD $20.00 /Hr.
