A leading national organization is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Support Specialist  to join its shared services team. This role supports internal employees and managers by resolving operational inquiries, managing service requests, processing transactions, and identifying opportunities to improve business processes. Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to inquiries from internal customers via phone, email, and ticketing systems while delivering timely, professional support.
  • Create, update, and manage service requests with accurate documentation to ensure proper tracking and resolution.
  • Investigate issues, identify root causes, and take ownership of resolving operational concerns.
  • Process transactions and administrative requests in accordance with established procedures and service level expectations.
  • Perform data validation, corrections, and quality audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Support high-volume call periods while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
  • Identify recurring issues, process gaps, and opportunities to improve workflows and operational efficiency.
  • Assist with testing, documentation, and implementation of process improvements and system enhancements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and support related to internal systems and business processes.
  • Maintain detailed records while ensuring confidentiality and accuracy of sensitive information.
  • Perform additional operational and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • SAP Experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of customer service, operations support, shared services, HR support, payroll support, or call center experience.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience using ticketing or case management systems is preferred.
  • Experience with payroll processes, ERP systems, or enterprise applications is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Excel, and Word.
