Old Country Rd)Direct Client: Immediate interviewPosition has primary responsibility for supporting process improvements, evaluation, analysis, technical services and project leadership in support of the Procurement Governance group. Assist in collection and evaluation of sourcing data of all types. Evaluate existing operational processes to identity efficiencies. Will participate/support cross-functional teams, assisting with the evaluation and analysis of data. Evaluate and assist in the implementation of new technical solutions to support the Procurement process.Staff Associate with primary responsibility for facilitating and tracking the RFP process for large capital projects and supporting the Contract Management process. The position requires the individual to perform, market analysis, sourcing, negotiations, contract execution, implementation, rollout, supplier performance and supplier relationship management in support of the Contract Managers. The individual must maintain focus on safety, quality and reliability at all times. Work directly with cross-functional business teams to develop and implement contracts delivering significant value and savings (or lowest total cost of ownership) to the company. Ensures compliance with negotiated results through supplier measurement evaluations and comprehensive periodic tracking and reporting of results, and institutes continuous improvement supplier development for the life cycle of the contract with key suppliers. Achieves financial performance and process improvement targets for self and team. Responsibilities include fostering change management, extensive client relationship management, communicating contractual commitmentsRequired:BS/BA degree or equivalent experience.Professional certification and/or 2-3 years of purchasing experience. Experience in selection and management of suppliers providing services and products is required. Strong analytical, market analysis and cost modeling skills. Team facilitation, presentation and organizational skills.Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, including ability to facilitate clear and concise presentations in front of large audiences.Thorough knowledge of competitive bidding process, contract terms and strong negotiation skills. Strong PC skills, e.g. with PowerPoint, Excel and Word.Desired:MBA. Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, finance or scientific field, CPM, APICS certification and experience in technical discipline preferred. Knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Access, e-sourcing and e-procurement applications a plus.
