Overview: The Junior Production Welder supports manufacturing by performing basic welding tasks, assembling metal components, and maintaining quality standards in a fast‑paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform MIG/TIG welding on steel and aluminum components
Read and follow basic blueprints, work orders, and production specs
Operate grinders, cutters, and other fabrication tools
Inspect welds for accuracy, defects, and structural integrity
Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all safety protocols
Assist senior welders and production leads as needed
Qualifications
0–2 years welding experience (school or shop experience accepted)
Ability to pass a weld test
Basic understanding of welding tools and safety practices
Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Preferred
Welding certification (AWS or equivalent)
Experience in manufacturing or metal fabrication
