The Junior Project Architect will support the design, documentation, and coordination of architectural projects across healthcare, industrial, Office space, and retail sectors. This role is ideal for emerging professionals who are building their technical foundation, developing proficiency in Revit, and gaining experience across all phases of project delivery. The ideal candidate is collaborative, eager to learn, and capable of contributing to high‑quality, code‑compliant design solutions under the guidance of senior team members.
Assist in the development of architectural drawings, specifications, and BIM models for multiple concurrent projects.
Support coordination efforts with internal team members, consultants, contractors, and clients.
Help maintain project schedules, documentation standards, and quality expectations.
Contribute to design concepts for healthcare, industrial, and retail environments, incorporating functional needs and user experience considerations.
Produce and update Revit models; follow established BIM standards and workflows.
Conduct research and assist in ensuring compliance with building codes, accessibility requirements, and industry regulations.
Participate in client meetings, design reviews, and presentations as part of the project team.
Support communication with consultants and permitting authorities under senior guidance.
Assist in preparing construction documents and reviewing them for accuracy.
Seek mentorship from senior architects and designers to grow technical skills, Revit proficiency, and professional judgment.
Engage in continuing education, licensure pursuit, and firm-wide knowledge‑sharing initiatives.
Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch).
0–3 years of architectural experience; internships and academic project work considered.
Progress toward architectural licensure preferred.
Proficiency in Revit; familiarity with BIM workflows is a plus.
Foundational knowledge of building codes and interest in healthcare, industrial, or retail project types.
Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
Exposure to healthcare design (coursework, internships, or project experience).
Experience with industrial or retail environments, including prototypes or multi‑site programs.
Familiarity with sustainable design principles or LEED guidelines.
Experience with visualization tools such as Enscape, Lumion, or Adobe Creative Suite.
This position is based in Columbia, South Carolina, with opportunities for hybrid work depending on project needs. Knowledge of local jurisdictions or interest in learning regional permitting processes is beneficial.
