Project Estimator-Entry Position (Monterey, CA) The Es''mator is responsible for preparing accurate and protable job es''mates, conver''ng the es''mates into successful bids to successful project comple''on. The Es''mator reports directly to and is fully accountable to the President, Vice President and Director of Opera''ons. Essen''al Func''ons Creates excellent working rela''onships with our customers and prospec''ve customers from the outset of ini''al contact through project comple''on. Creates and maintains excellent working rela''onships with co-workers. Develops and presents winning project proposals by es''ma''ng from plans and other documenta''on provided by customers Responsibili''es: Develops project es''mates, completes take o from blue prints, completes and submits proposals, and follows up in accordance with SRF sales process to win projects. Works closely with project foreman and project manager for success. SeLles on terms and prices with suppliers and sub-contractors. Ensure that S R Freeman is a safe and healthy work environment for personnel, even on the job site. Maintains coopera''ve working rela''onships with supervisors and other sta members in all departments. Makes it understood that THE CUSTOMER IS OUR FIRST PRIORITY and that each employee is here to support that priority. ALends regular management mee''ngs and keeps employees informed on those maLers that aect the successful performance of their jobs and to ensure proper interac''on between crews. Stays aware of current company policies and procedures and ensures that all repor''ng employees adhere to those regula''ons. Performs any other du''es as may be assigned by the President, Vice President and Director of Opera''ons. Requirements Required a High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Must have an understanding of building and framing layout. Required to read blue prints and accomplish take o detail for equipment and material needs. Must have the skills and knowledge to keep all lines of communica''on open between all of the departments of S R Freeman, Inc. Must be able to eec''vely communicate with employees of varying educa''on levels. The sense of sight, speech (English) and hearing are required. Must possess excellent verbal and wriLen communica''on skills. The physical requirements are stressful although part of the ''me will be spent siWng. Walking, turning the head and torso, reaching, grasping, bending and exing the arms, legs, wrists, and ngers, climbing, balancing and the ability to liY 50 pounds is required. Must be a natural leader who can inspire employees to superior performance. Must have a current California Driver's license and be insurable.
