Earn a competitive base salary, discretionary bonus, profit sharing & more!Job DescriptionThe Junior Project Manager - Earthwork, Concrete, Civil - Lusby, MD will be responsible for:Managing earthwork, site development, concrete, and civil construction projects from preconstruction through closeoutDeveloping and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and forecasts to ensure successful project executionCoordinating field operations with Superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and clientsPreparing and managing contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and change ordersTracking project costs, productivity, and financial performance to ensure projects remain on budgetLeading project meetings and serving as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and stakeholdersReviewing drawings, specifications, and project documents to identify risks and opportunitiesManaging procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor servicesEnsuring compliance with contract requirements, quality standards, and safety regulationsEvaluating and resolving project issues, delays, and scope changes in a proactive mannerReviewing and approving subcontractor invoices, pay applications, and project billingPreparing monthly cost reports, progress updates, and project forecasts for leadershipSupporting estimating and preconstruction efforts on future projects as neededBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with owners, engineers, subcontractors, and local agenciesDriving projects to successful completion while meeting schedule, quality, safety, and profitability goalsMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled, protected veterans and all other qualified applicants.The Successful Applicant3+ years of experience as a Project Manager overseeing earthwork, site development, concrete, civil, or heavy civil construction projectsProven experience managing projects from preconstruction through closeoutStrong understanding of earthwork, grading, excavation, underground utilities, concrete, paving, and site development operationsExperience managing project budgets, schedules, forecasting, and cost controlAbility to review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documentsTrack record of successfully delivering projects on schedule, within budget, and to high quality standardsExperience managing subcontractors, vendors, clients, engineers, and other project stakeholdersStrong knowledge of contract administration, change order management, and procurement processesProficiency with project management and scheduling softwareExcellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and relationship-building skillsStrong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving project challengesKnowledge of OSHA regulations and a commitment to maintaining a strong safety cultureBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferredExperience working on public, municipal, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects preferredStable work history with demonstrated success managing multiple projects and driving profitable project outcomesValid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed throughout the regionWhat's on OfferBase salary up to $100,000, commensurate with experiencePerformance-based bonus opportunityCompany vehicle or vehicle allowanceGas card and toll reimbursementComprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) plan with company matchPaid time off and company-observed holidaysProfit sharing opportunityEmployee stock incentive opportunitiesLong-term career growth with a stable and growing civil contractorOpportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of earthwork, concrete, and heavy civil projectsSupportive team environment with the resources and backing of an established organization
