The Compliance Specialist will ensure that Proceed Finance complies with all industry specifications, standards, regulations, and laws. This position will review operational practices and procedures, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on compliance-related issues, and will assist in performing compliance reviews and audits.

The Compliance Specialist will help to implement and enforce compliance policies and plans and perform regulatory risk management. This role will have an expectation to facilitate regulatory compliance to help Proceed Finance maintain an excellent reputation. Essential Job Duties

  • Monitor case activity to ensure cases are resolved efficiently, consistently and timely, along with being in accordance with the relevant regulations (such as: ECOA, TILA, UDAAP, etc.)

  • Manage consumer complaint escalations and direct compliance issues to appropriate channels for research and resolution, as needed

  • Ensure accuracy for complaint responses in a timely manner

  • Draft and maintain complaint policies, procedures and related documentation for the company

  • Identify gaps, opportunities, and key risks, and consult with business leaders on recommended corrective action

  • Research industry compliance regulations and policies

  • Collaborate with different business units and internal stakeholders to help guide, plan, and implement process improvements

  • Utilize established internal controls and auditing systems to identify, detect, and correct noncompliance issues

  • Keep current on compliance requirements and regulatory changes and developments

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • 2+ years of experience working in either consumer compliance or customer service roles, preferably in the financial services industry
  • 2+ years of experience supporting, partnering and interacting with internal business clients

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to interpret compliance regulations and apply them to business requirements and workflows

  • Actively engage in day-to-day interactions/relationships within the compliance management framework

  • Act as a liaison with legal/compliance

  • Skilled with a CRM System

  • Base computer proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Knowledge of the financial services industry Work Environment

Work Environment:

  • Work is performed in a standard office setting

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $60,200 to $107,400 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
