Position: Junior & Senior Distribution Systems Engineer (Telecom/ Cable Technician)
Location: Fairbanks, Alaska (Onsite)
Duration: 6-7+ month contract

Role Overview
This position provides technical expertise to modernize network design and implementation. As a Senior Distribution Systems Travel Engineer, you will be a key technical resource for survey and implementation efforts. This role involves close collaboration with counterparts to facilitate the planning, execution, testing, and sustainment of the network's wired functionality.

Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance

Required: Candidates from a cable/telecoms/similar background with an active Sec+ (or any DoD IAT Level 2 cert).

Key Responsibilities

Experience supporting network infrastructure, telecommunications, low-voltage cabling, or technology deployments.
Knowledge of structured cabling standards and installation best practices.
Experience with CAT5e/CAT6 cabling, termination, patching, labeling, and cable management.
Familiarity with network hardware installations, including switches, patch panels, racks, UPS systems, and wireless access points.
Ability to interpret technical documentation, floor plans, diagrams, and installation instructions.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work independently and effectively within a team environment.
Willingness to travel to customer locations as required.
