GeoStabilization International protects people and critical infrastructure through emergency slope stabilization, landslide repair, rockfall mitigation, drilling, grouting, micropiles, and other complex geotechnical construction work.

We are looking for experienced field professionals who can perform advanced technical work, solve problems, and help keep a crew safe and productive. Depending on experience, candidates may be considered for a Junior/Senior Geohazard Mitigation Technician or Working Foreman position. This is not an entry-level role.

What You'll Do

• Perform and help lead geotechnical construction work on projects throughout the United States.
• Read project plans and specifications and adapt safely when field conditions do not match expectations.
• Support drilling operations involving soil nails, casing, injection drilling, open-hole drilling, and related systems.
• Complete shotcrete, grouting, reinforcement, mesh, and slope-stabilization work according to project requirements and ACI standards.
• Operate and maintain drilling equipment, skid steers, forklifts, manlifts, plate compactors, concrete pumps, and grout pumps.
• Troubleshoot drills, pumps, and other field equipment and complete basic repairs or adjustments.
• Lead pre-job planning, morning safety meetings, daily crew assignments, and jobsite organization when required.
• Train less-experienced technicians and step in to keep the crew moving when field leadership is unavailable.
• Complete drill logs, inspections, timesheets, checklists, and other required project documentation.

What We're Looking For

• Significant hands-on experience in geotechnical construction, drilling, shotcrete, grouting, foundations, mining, slope stabilization, or similar heavy-civil work.
• Advanced experience in drilling, shotcrete, or grouting; experience across both drilling and shotcrete/grouting is strongly preferred.
• Ability to read construction plans and follow engineered specifications.
• Experience installing systems such as soil nails, casing, high-tension mesh, drainage, reinforcement, or GCS walls.
• Experience safely operating and maintaining heavy construction equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting, planning, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Crew-lead, lead-person, training, or foreman experience is preferred, particularly for Working Foreman consideration.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, attendance, and teamwork.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements.

Preferred Certifications

Current certifications are helpful but equivalent field experience will also be considered. Relevant certifications may include ACI Nozzleman or Nozzleman-in-Training, OSHA 30, MSHA 48, rigging, forklift, manlift, CDL, or CMV qualification.

Travel and Work Requirements

• Travel up to 100% to projects across the United States. Schedules may include three weeks on and one week off, five days on and two days off, or another project-based rotation.
• Remain away from home for the full rotation and share a company-paid hotel room with a coworker while traveling.
• Work outdoors in changing weather, remote locations, rugged terrain, and around typical construction noise and hazards.
• Work extended shifts when required and regularly lift 75 pounds or more.
• Approved flights, lodging, meals, and other travel expenses are paid by the company.

• $26-$33 per hour, depending on relevant experience, technical capability, certifications, and equipment skills.
