DMBA (Deseret Mutual Benefit Administrators) is a non-profit organization that administers benefits for companies who are owned or affiliated with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.We are seeking a motivated Software Engineer to join our growing Appian Platform Development team.You'll build secure business applications, automate complex processes, and integrate systems that support healthcare administration and business operations. Whether you're a recent graduate or an early-career developer, this role offers the opportunity to grow your software engineering skills while learning Appian, a leading low-code development platform.If you enjoy solving problems, learning new technologies, and building software that makes a real impact, we'd love to meet you.What You'll DoDesign, develop, test, and deploy business applications using Appian and related technologies.Collaborate with teammates and business stakeholders to build solutions that solve real business problems.Integrate applications with APIs, databases, and enterprise systems.Enhance and support existing applications.Participate in design reviews, testing, and continuous improvement efforts.Learn software engineering best practices through mentorship and hands-on experience.Use an AI-first mentality to utilize Appian and other AI tools to optimize output.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.Experience with at least one programming language such as Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, or similar.Understanding of software development fundamentals, including object-oriented programming, debugging, and testing.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Desire and ability to learn new technologies quickly.Preferred Qualifications0-3 years of software development, internship, or IT experience.Experience with Appian or other low-code platforms such as Pega, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Power Platform, or K2.Familiarity with SQL, relational databases, and REST APIs.Exposure to Agile development practices.What You'll GainMentorship from experienced software engineers and Appian architects.Hands-on experience building enterprise applications used across the organization.Opportunities to earn Appian certifications and develop specialized expertise.A clear path for technical and career growth.What We Offer:Competitive payRich medical, vision and dental benefits with low premiums.
