Ashland High School is seeking a Junior Varsity Softball Head Coach beginning with the spring season of the 2025-26 school year.
Ashlands coaches are actively engaged in the community and embrace both the mission and values of the Athletic Department and APS School District.
The role of the junior varsity softball coach is to be responsible for coaching character development and providing direction to student-athletes so that they might achieve a high level of skill as well as an appreciation for discipline, sportsmanship, and teamwork in softball.
This job requires you to interact thoughtfully and respectfully with student-athletes, fellow coaches, staff, parents, and community, and well as follow the mission of the school. Positive communication strategies, organizational skills, and safety awareness are key requirements.
This position reports to the Athletic Director.
Preferred Requirements:
• Previous coaching and/or playing experience at the high school level or above is preferred. • Excellent communication and organizational skills • Available to practice after school, weekends, and evenings • Technologically-savvy with a history of program development • CPR/First Aid Certified • Preferred
