    Description

    Walden Street School is looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join the team as Juvenile Resource Staff, working with youth who have significant emotional and behavioral needs. The Juvenile Resource Staff will be trained in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques to effectively support youth in crisis, including following protocols for physical holds. 

    Walden Street School is a residential treatment setting for adolescents that specializes in trauma informed care. Walden provides 24-hour comprehensive care including a school on site, a full clinical staff, nursing staff, and direct care staff. 

    Compensation 

    The pay range for this position is $19.00 to $25.00 per hour. The listed range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting the position. The actual compensation an employee is offered may vary based on several factors such as experience, education, licensure, certifications and qualifications.  This range may be modified in the future.

    Due to the nature of our work and the youth who are depending on us, there are times where overtime may be mandated.

    • YOU will help maintain a safe environment by conducting regular walk-throughs, engaging consistently with the youth, and monitoring the physical surroundings.
    • YOU will learn to provide physical interventions and verbal de-escalations to provide the safest therapeutic environment for the youth we serve. 
    • YOU will be able to create a safe and therapeutic community by supporting students in developing and by role modeling effective coping strategies.
    • YOU will help students discover what makes them feel competent and valued by working with them to develop life skills. Your day-to-day work will support students in developing a sense of self and provide them the skills to be successful in their next steps.

      Requirements: 

      • Must be 21 years of age.
      • Experience in security work or related field preferred.
      • Maintains valid driver’s license as transporting students is required.
      • Available to work evenings, holidays, weekend shifts as required.

      • Background and driving record checks will be performed.
