Provide probation and/or parole supervision to juveniles and young adults mandated to probation and/or granted parole by tribal court. Abide by Criminal Justice Code Ethics. Maintain confidentiality. Pass a criminal background check (tribal, state, federal) and not engage in the use of illegal drugs; be free from dysfunctional use of alcohol.
Requirements
Skills: Skilled in working with criminal element, ensuring adequate and assertive supervision. Probation case management. Legal report writing skills. Skilled in analyzing and determining solutions to problems. Use discretion in critical situations. Must be knowledgeable in our community traditions and needs, law enforcement, community corrections, and community service procedures. Education: Associate Degree in Criminal Justice or a related field or three years experience within the tribal criminal justice system. A combination of education and experience is acceptable. Criminal justice training. Tribal Member Preference.
