Overview:
The JV Head Girls Basketball Coach is responsible for coaching and supervising the junior varsity girls basketball team while supporting the overall high school basketball program. The coach promotes skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, academic success, and compliance with district, conference, and WIAA rules.
Responsibilities:
Plan and conduct practices focused on basketball fundamentals, teamwork, and player development.
Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, travel, and team activities.
Prepare athletes for competition and support their growth toward varsity-level play.
Promote sportsmanship, discipline, respect, and positive conduct.
Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, coaching staff, and administration.
Monitor academic eligibility and encourage student success.
Work cooperatively with the Varsity Head Coach to support program goals.
Maintain and care for equipment, uniforms, and facilities.
Follow all Menominee Indian School District, conference, and WIAA rules.
Perform other duties assigned by the Athletic Director or Varsity Head Coach.
