    Description

    The Marblehead High School JV2 Boys Soccer coach is responsible for leading and motivating a team of high school players to practice regularly, compete in games, and attend fundraising activities. The coach is expected to teach players various soccer skills and strategies. In addition, the coach will promote teamwork, sportsmanship and respect, commitment, integrity, and responsibility. Below are the essential qualifications, requirements, and responsibilities of a JV2 Boys Soccer Coach:

    QUALIFICATION Knowledge of soccer techniques, strategy, and plays. Excellent communication and people skills. Ability to mentor and motivate athletes, providing guidance, feedback, and support to help them achieve their goals Organizational and management skills, including the ability to schedule and plan practices and events. Familiarity with soccer rules and safety guidelines.

    REQUIREMENTS Experience playing and or coaching soccer Leads by example regarding the promotion of sportsmanship Must complete all Massachusetts coaching requirements, which includes the NFHS Concussion Certificate Must complete Marblehead School District requirements: Fingerprinting, CORI Background check Must complete CPR/AED and First Aid Certification

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Eye-hand, mind-eye coordination, physical dexterity, and the ability to bend, stoop, walk, talk, and sit Be exposed to heat, humidity, dust, rain, snow, and other weather and adverse environmental conditions. The ability to travel between locations

    RESPONSIBILITIES Make practice plans and prepare the team to compete in games. Attend all practices and games, including supervising on the bus to and from away games. Communicate the team''s practice and game schedule with the team and parents or guardians. Communicate all fundraising activities with the team and parents or guardians. Organize, distribute, and collect uniforms from the team. Maintains a positive staff relationship with other coaches and the trainer.. Work with the varsity coach and athletic director to ensure compliance with all necessary requirements and regulations, including safety and liability issues.
