Pellston Public Schools is seeking qualified individuals in the area of Art Education, Grades Kindergarten through 12th. Interested persons with additional endorsements are welcome! Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Art Education K-12 (LX endorsement).
  • A valid Michigan teaching certificate or able to fulfill the requirement prior to start date. 3. Must meet criteria for "highly qualified" status under ESSA.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with students, staff, administration, parents, and community. 5. Demonstrated success as a collaborator and proven team player.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Art Education (LX) endorsed applicants with endorsements in other subject areas preferred.
  • Recent teaching experience at or near the high school level in the subject being applied for is desirable.
  • Demonstrated successful communication skills with students, staff, administrators, parents, and community.
  • Demonstrated successful experience utilizing technology.
  • Seeking applicants interested in coaching and/or advising in extracurricular activities including Student Council, Class Advisory, or National Honor Society.
  • Experience with PBIS and Trauma Informed Schools is a plus.
