Position: K-12 Specials Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Education (or related field) and a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate.

At least one of the following Michigan endorsements: Music Education (JQ, K-12), Visual Arts

Education (LQ, K-12), or Educational Technology (NP, K-8/6-12). Art or music endorsements are

preferred, but we're glad to consider strong candidates in educational technology, STEAM, or a

related area.

Additional endorsements in a Core Academic Area, Business/Technology (GQ), or Industrial

Technology (TE) are a plus and may expand the elective offerings you can teach.

Experience successfully instructing at-risk populations.

Strong collaboration and communication skills with teachers, parents, and students.

Comfortable with technology and able to meet deadlines.

Location: Walkerville Public Schools

Estimated Starting Date: Fall 2026

Reports to: Building Principal

Salary: Salary as negotiated with the WPS Board of Education
