Birch Agency is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to provide K 2 co-teaching services for the 2026 2027 school year near Rockford, Illinois. This is a full-time, in-person opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young learners while collaborating with a supportive educational team.
Responsibilities:
Provide special education services in a co-teaching classroom setting for students in Kindergarten through 2nd grade.
Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success.
Develop and implement IEP goals and accommodations.
Monitor student progress and maintain appropriate documentation.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications:
Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Special Education endorsement.
Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Commitment to supporting diverse learning needs.
